PJ's in the Hoop: Embroidery
For the science buffs out there, the chameleon is a fascinating little creature capable of changing color for camouflage and temperament. Many tend to use the name chameleon to describe changeability. So why am I giving this science/linguistics lesson? To introduce my newest in-the-hoop design set, The Chameleon! This bag, which comes in 2 sizes (6¼ÂÂÂÂÂÂx10¼Â hoop--finished size 9ÂÂÂÂÂÂx11½Â wide and 7¼ÂÂÂÂÂÂx11¾Â hoop--finished size 10½ÂÂÂÂÂÂx13 wide) is a stand-alone purse, but then comes the fun--button on a new cover and the purse becomes entirely different! Perfect for a day at the office and then a fun event after work, or a great item to take on vacation when there's not enough space to pack extra purses!
The diamond-quilted purses feature an inner and outer fabric and dense fleece batting and outer flap, which comes with steps to attach a magnetic snap in the hoop. The purses feature 2 large inner pockets, also created in the hoop. The front and back of the purse are created entirely in the hoop and then sewn together using conventional sewing techniques. The covers are created in the same way and feature channel quilting and 8 buttonholes for the fastening process. So go ahead--make that little basic black bag, but then let your inner self run free with covers limited only by your fabric choices!
