Uncle Sam uses a wood kit to help him stand up nicely on your porch or in your home. Wood kits are made from a wood base and dowel rods. You can make these wood pieces on your own following the instructions in the pattern, or just buy one pre-made for you to fit Uncle Sam specifications!
Uncle Sam's arms are able to hold their shape as well as the flag thanks to floral wire. While you are waiting for your pattern to arrive it is a good idea to pick some up if you don't have any. While you are at it grab some duct tape ... but we will let you discover why once the pattern arrives!
