If you’ve been wanting a project that’s beautiful and beginner friendly, the French Roses quilt is a wonderful place to start. This quilt uses simple stacked appliqué flowers with raw-edge seams that “bloom” after washing, giving it that signature soft, frayed, romantic look.

Background Fabric: 3 yards light coordinating fabric

3/4 yards of 5 coordinating assorted fabrics for flower

(1) Fat Eight or 1/8 yard for leaves

Sewing machine in good working order

Thread (neutral or coordinating)

Rotary cutter, and ruler

Fabric marking pen or chalk
