  • Quilting Lingo & Definitions: From “fat quarters” to “chain piecing,” we’ll demystify the language of quilting.

  • How to Cut Fabric Safely & Accurately: Rotary cutter basics, cutting mats, and tips for clean cuts.

  • Basic Quilting Knowledge: Tools, terminology, and techniques to get you started.

Whether you’re dreaming of your first quilt or just curious about the craft, this class will give you the foundation to move forward with confidence—and maybe even a few new quilting friends!

Supplies Needed:

For this beginner-friendly class, students should bring:

  • Sewing machine in good working order (Please ensure it is threaded, cleaned, and ready to sew.)

  • Scissors Fabric scissors preferred, but any sharp pair will work.

  • Seam ripper A must?have tool for learning and fixing stitches.

  • Neutral thread Any light gray, beige, cream, or white thread is perfect for practice.
