Fabric Rope Baskets
These aren’t your typical baskets! In this creative and hands-on class, you’ll learn how to make lovely and useful rope baskets that add warmth and personality to any space. They’re perfect for quick and thoughtful gifts — ideal for holidays, housewarmings, or just because.
We’ll wrap cotton rope with beautiful fabrics to match any décor, then use simple supplies to transform each basket into a colorful, embellished, and truly one-of-a-kind creation. Whether you’re going for rustic charm or modern flair, you’ll leave with a finished piece that’s both functional and fabulous.
Supplies needed are available at Ms Sew N' Sew's Quilt Shop:- 1yd Fabric or Several Fat Quarters. (Batiks works the best)
- Thread (matching your fabric or monofilament)
- Zig Zag Plate and Foot
- Glue Stick
- Denim needles
- ¼” Cotton Rope
OPTIONAL:
You can bring a large button, Brooch, barrette, Silk Flower, or anything you may want to embellish your basket with.
Bring basic sewing machine supplies such as scissors, pins, bobbins, seam ripper, Zig Zag Plate and Foot, etc. and your sewing machine that is in good working order.
Each class will be approximately 3-4 hours beginning at 10:00am.
